CUSTOMER IN FOCUS - MICHAEL SLIWINSKI

Last month we featured Michael's wife Kat and this month we are featuring Michael himself. Michael has completed in a number of events and one day would love to to run the New York Marathon, read Michael's story below:

Where are you from? 

Canberra, Australia 

What is your Why?

Health and fitness, Mental health and Family time.

What got you started on your health and fitness journey?

I had never entered a fun run until meeting Kat, I was/am a cyclist. She convinced me to join her in Sydney on a fun run, and since then we’ve done countless events, and travelled Australia doing parkrun.

What motivates you to keep going?

Whilst I find motivation difficult, I really enjoy getting out as a family and taking part in events.

What tips do you have for someone who is just starting their journey?

It is hard but don’t give up.

What are you daily habits that allow you to exercise and stay on track?

Make plans to exercise with others. Its not as hard to give up.

Why did you buy the Maw Active gear for your partner and friends?  

The shorts are my favourite, they fit so well, are comfortable and no chaffe! The zip pockets are a must.

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

Family

What is your favourite fitness event you have undertaken?

City2surf. Love the challenge and the atmosphere.

What is your favourite fitness activity? 

Cycling- road bike. I am currently building my dream bike.

What are your goals for 2021?

New bike, more cycling, and just be more generally more active.

If you could (After COVID) what event would you like to undertake in the world?

New York marathon. I am yet to complete or train for a marathon but would for New York.
